Cherry Cola Cupcakes = Double Yum

Ok So I thought I would share a quick and easy cupcake recipe with you guys and girls that you can do in a rush. Super simple and will leave people...saying what is that yummy flavor in the background! (Whether you tell them or not is up to you!)

Ok here's it is....and trust me this isn't rocket science at all.

1 box cake mix in Devils Food (I prefer Duncan Hines
1 box of instant chocolate pudding (3.4 oz)
eggs
veggie oil
cherry coke

can of vanilla or chocolate frosting

(Optional: Cherry pie filling or whole cherries in a can)

Mix the cake according to the instructions on the box, substituting the cherry coke for the water, and add in one additional egg and the instant pudding. Fill cupcake pan or foil containers and bake accordingly. (Optional is to insert a whole cherry from the pie filling into the cupcake before baking for extra flavor.)

Allow to cool and frost. For extra flavor, mix in a little of the soda and filling/cherry juice into the frosting.

So easy and so yummy!

And you said you can't decorate a cake!

So who says you can't decorate a cake with these adorable cake doilies from Ikea. They are $1.99 for a 4-pack, and best part.....they are washable and reusable! How awesome? Seriously, thank you Ikea. We double heart you for making our lives a little easier and our tables prettier. They are 7'' round and coem in the four colors you see below. So whether its a from-scratch cake or from a box, these are sure to brighten up any table!

Beauty Alert!

So I found this incredible product through the help of Ms Kandee Johnson. (If you haven't checked her out on YouTube or her blog, I highly recommend that you do. She is the cupcakes! And she knows thats a good thing!)

Anyways, this is 10 from Benefit Cosmetics. It is wonder in a box and I can't say enough about it. It is a bronzer on one side and a pinky pearl highlight on the other side. They have instructions inside on how to do the "sexy sweep", but I honestly I am not using it that way. I like to go ahead and apply a light blush like I normally would. Then I take a fluffy brush and hit just the bronze side and go underneath my cheekbone to create a contour on my little round face. Then I will usually hit the temples, nose and cheeks for a bronze/slimming effect. Next, I take my brush and get just the highlight side and hit the tops of my cheeks. It just gives them this pretty glow. I used it this morning in a recreation of a Lauren Conrad makeup look. If you guys are interested in a video on how I use this or the LC look I did, comment and let me know!
